Groundbreaking!

I know that joke has been done to death, but come on, I couldn't help myself! Love me a "Devil Wears Prada" Meryl moment.

For this one, kept it beachy and easy with a lightweight linen shirt and punchy pair of swim trunks... topped off with my classic Clubmasters and skeleton slippers. Bold and breezy!

UNIFORM

Oftentimes, I find myself sticking to what I call my uniform. Easy and effortless, it rarely fails me. What is this uniform, you ask? A great pair of shades, one of my biker jackets, a neutral shirt, skinny jeans and statement slippers. This outfit, which I wore just before heading to Vegas for the trade shows, ticks all of those boxes.

BACK TO REALITY

Here's hoping that everyone is having a spectacular 2014 so far! I've been getting back into the swing of work and my usual routine after being so lucky to have a nice break during the holidays. This means my usual iced latte in the morning, catching up on magazines and blogs and emails galore!

It seems to finally be cooling off here in LA, which makes me so happy since I love sweater season. Hopefully the temps will continue to get a bit chilly so that we can all break out our coats and scarves!

MIXING DENIM

One of my favorite things to do is play around with mixing denim, from light to dark washes and this dope new pair of bleached cutoffs.

For this look, I kept the shades to blue and white and of course added on my favorite skeleton slippers! Hope everyone's having a killer summer so far.

TUXEDO + A TANK

  

One of my favorite things to do style wise is mix and match pieces that don't normally go together, which is exactly what I did here with a tuxedo jacket and a vintage tank. I love that this otherwise all-black look is accentuated with pops of orange and gold, via my shades, watch and the embroidery on my slippers.

In other news, I am so excited for the weekend! I have a BBQ with my family tonight and then am playing Saturday by ear... I really want to see "The Bling Ring"! What does everyone have planned for the weekend?

Today's casual Saturday look consists of a super-soft button up that I thrifted in Palm Springs a few summers ago, baggy ripped up jeans and my new favorite skele-toes slippers!

The weather here in LA has been gorgeous lately... so ready for summer.
