You know what I just realized? I don't think that I have any full-on outfit of the day photos wearing my VOGUE snapback from the front! I obviously have many posts wearing it backwards - but I thought today I'd give the statement-making side of this hat the spotlight. Strike a pose!

As my dear friend Christa Jayne of Fashion or Famine (who also owns these badass shades) recently said, they Summer in a sunglass! I totally have Summer eyes here.

DENIM LAYERS

This look is all about mixing and matching some of my favorite staple pieces, which include: a basic white t-shirt, light wash denim shirt, black tuxedo jacket, camo skinny pants, and white Converse. I decided to layer the denim shirt under the jacket, and keep the base layer simple with a white tee. I like the way that the balance of camo/white/black/denim turned out, and how dope is the aqua wall I found to shoot this outfit in front of?

ORANGE CRUSH

So I call this outfit "Orange Crush" because of the distinctively orange hue that my gold mirrored aviators take on as I'm wearing this neon orange t-shirt! Since I decided to have a neon moment, I thought I'd keep the rest of the look polished with this blazer and cuffed denim.

SUN AND STONE

To me, one of the best feelings in the world is right after you get your hair done. You know the feeling. The day or two before a hair appointment, you just feel like your hair is too long, too grown out, too gross. Or at least I do! This was part of the reason I spent a majority of last week sportin' my snapback hat.

Well this morning I had a stop on the Blonde Ambition Reunion Tour (what I like to call it whenever I get my hair did). Afterwards, I stepped out into the sun and snapped some photos of today's outfit against this massive stone wall.

A SHERPA SITUATION

Today, I decided to wear this really rad vintage Levi's sherpa denim jacket that I scored over the weekend at one of my favorite thrift stores on Fairfax. It's funny, I was just saying the night before how I was on the hunt for a super soft, worn-in denim jacket (and sherpa lining would be a plus!).

It seems that since I put that out there in the universe, the shopping gods decided to be kind. Love it when that happens!

REPPIN' COLLEGE

So I decided to pull this old gym shirt from my alma mater, UCSB, out from the depths of my closet to sport in my latest look.

In short, I had the BEST time in college. From meeting some of the most incredible friends to long days on the beach and even longer nights in the library studying, Santa Barbara proved to be such a special place to enjoy my college years.

I love reppin' my college any chance I get!

OMBRÉ ACTION

The gradual wash of this ombré t-shirt really makes it deserve to be worn much more than I do. I'd say it pretty much achieves the perfect gradation between light and dark. I decided to keep this Friday look pretty basic, and paired it with black skinnies and my favorite camouflage slippers.
